Centralis Dynamics Redefining Flow

Centralis Dynamics

We build new ways to move.

Centralis Dynamics develops movement systems that explore the relationship between the body, the environment and the forces moving through both.

Our Story

It started with a different question about movement.

Most movement equipment is designed around a fixed object: a blade, a handle, a machine, a resistance point.

Centralis began by asking what happens when the equipment becomes softer, more responsive and more connected to the body itself.

Water became the natural place to explore that idea.

The Beginning of AquaQi

What if the fin began closer to the body?

Traditional fins place the obvious working surface at the feet.

AquaQi approached propulsion differently: a soft fabric surface beginning around the hips and upper legs, continuing around both legs and extending beyond the feet.

Instead of asking the body to drive a rigid blade, the fabric moves with the swimmer and changes shape continuously inside the water.

The body moves first.

AquaQi developed around whole-body movement — the relationship between the spine, core, hips, legs and water.

As the swimmer moves, the fabric opens, tensions, folds and releases. The water acts on the fabric, and those changes can be felt by the person inside it.

The body moves. The fabric follows. The water responds.

That interaction became the foundation of HydroFlow.

One system. Many directions.

What began as a new way to explore propulsion quickly opened into several different water experiences.

Swimming. Freediving. Flow. Performance. Training. Vertical movement. Slow movement. Stillness.
