AquaQi Size Guide
Find your AquaQi fit.
AquaQi is designed to sit securely around the waist while leaving the lower body free to move inside the fabric.
Start with your waist.
The most important measurement when choosing your AquaQi size is the circumference around the area where the belt will sit.
The belt is normally worn around the lower waist, above the hip bones and below the navel. Measure this area directly rather than relying only on your usual pants size.
AquaQi is intentionally longer than a conventional skirt. When fully extended, the fabric continues beyond the feet so it can form the responsive fabric-fin surface used in the water.
Size Chart
| Size | Waist Range | Fit Note |
|---|---|---|
| XS | 25–30 in | Smaller athletic frame |
| S | 27–33 in | Small to medium frame |
| M | 30–36 in | Standard adult fit |
| L | 33–39 in | Medium to larger frame |
| XL | 36–42 in | Larger adult fit |
| XXL | 39–46 in | Largest current AquaQi fit |
Measurements refer to body circumference at the AquaQi belt position.
How to Measure
Measure where you will actually wear it.
- Stand naturally and wear a swimsuit or thin clothing.
- Place a soft measuring tape around the lower waist, above the hip bones and below the navel.
- Keep the tape level around the body and comfortably snug — not pulled tight.
- Compare that measurement with the size chart above.
Between Two Sizes?
Look at the complete fit, not only the number.
AquaQi sizes intentionally overlap because the adjustable Velcro belt allows each size to accommodate a range of waist measurements.
If your measurement falls comfortably inside one size range, choose that size.
If you are close to the edge of a range, also consider your overall hip and seat proportions. The fabric should have enough room to move freely around the lower body without feeling excessively loose.
If you are unsure between two sizes, contact Centralis before ordering and send us your waist measurement and approximate height.
What the Fit Should Look Like
Secure at the waist. Free through the body.
Belt
The waist belt should feel secure and remain stable during movement without feeling excessively tight.
Hips & Legs
The fabric should allow enough room for the hips and legs to move naturally and for the material to respond in the water.
Length
When fully extended, AquaQi should continue beyond the toes. The extra fabric is intentional and forms part of the fabric-fin system.
AquaQi Fit
It should not fit like ordinary clothing.
AquaQi is movement equipment. The fabric needs space to change shape, move between the legs and interact with the water.
A secure waist combined with free-moving fabric through the lower body is part of the intended design.
